Project Scope:

In this typically push oriented industry, LAMEX wants to consider whether and how the Internet could help them forge tighter relationships with their dealers and customers. And hence, a pull strategy might be formulated. At the same time LAMEX is considering what type of end consumer website they should build and what technologies should deploy.

To enhance competitive edges with the new website

To utilize existing royal customers

To capture customers ever-growing needs and market trends

To develop a plan to be presented to LAMEX's Senior Executives outlining the scope, target group, anticipated benefits, costs, and implementation procedures involved with an interactive web site.
 

Contents:

The project will study and analyze the following:

1. Scope:

The plan basically focus on customer acqusition.
Should the company's focus be on information, content and/or transactions? And Why? ...

2. Target group:

The audience is basically new customer.
What are LAMEX's major target audience for their websites? Which one would you consider as more important to LAMEX's objective of creating value for the company? ...

3. Competition:

Major players in the markets will be investiaged; their market shares, working capitals, capability and competitive edges will be compared and contrasted.
What are LAMEX's competitors currently doing? Any anticipated benefits? ...
Which benefits would LAMEX's website(s) offer to customers? To dealers? Can LAMEX expect increased product and brand awareness? What other benefits might LAMEX enjoy? ...

4. Costs and budgets:

Feasibility study and ROI will be investigated. And hence the budget can be calculated accordingly.
Budget expected? Consider designing, implementing, testing, revising and maintaining/updating the web site. Any proposal must include detailed cost estimates involved for such an undertaking. ...

5. Implementation procedures:

The implementation of the project will be divided into phases. Important and critcal functions will be determined from the feasibility study, and they will be implemented at early stages.
What steps will be involved in such a project for LAMEX? What resources or expertise will be needed from LAMEX? What expertise is available from outside sources?
